Today, we are seeing more messages of hope and inclusion appear on Buffalo’s walls. Heroes are honored and positive vibes are spread. These kinds of messages (as opposed to protest messages) are favored by the many institutions that have begun sponsoring street art instillations. They’re a way to engage the community and build goodwill.

The Agents of Change installation in Buffalo’s Five Points neighborhood is the result of a community collaboration between Torn Space Theater, Just Buffalo Literary Center and Lafayette International High School. Artist Max Collins worked with Lafayette students to pay tribute to Buffalo’s “change makers.”
